To export a properly formatted TXT file of clips from Avid:
- In the bin containing imported submissions, confirm that the Name, Start, End, and Source File columns are visible.
- Make sure that nothing is selected (e.g., clips or sequences), then export by either right-clicking in an empty space and selecting Export Bin... or by choosing File > Output > Export Bin... from the menu.
- Double-check that the export setting at the bottom is Tab Delimited (not Avid Log Exchange).
- Navigate to your save location and click Save. Tip: Include "clips" in the name of the file to differentiate it from the TXT subcaps file.
