It's imperative that each show utilize a uniform naming convention for their shots, but not every show is the same, so Marvin lets you specify the format that you use.
|sample shot ID - element name - description||Provide an example of shot identifying data that represents how you label shots in a sequence.|
|element name & description are separated by||Select delimiter, characters, or no description to specify how you separate descriptions, if provided. See the section below for additional tips on which option to choose.|
|character length of shot ID||Specify the number of characters for only the shot ID. Choose from one of several common presets, or click Other... to set your own.|
Using the breakdown area, confirm that your sample shot information correctly separates the element name from the shot ID from the description.
delimiter or characters ... which is right for you?
Choose delimiter if you put something such as a hyphen, colon, or space between shot IDs and descriptions in markers.
Choose characters if you do not use anything specific to separate descriptions from shot IDs.
Default options are provided, but select other... to use a custom spacer.

Once imported, if the marker data did not correctly parse, click the home button to start over and try a different option.
