In Marvin, there is a bug icon in the upper-right corner of every page, which will initiate the support request process. You'll be given the option to automatically take a screen capture, but you can also add one later (details below). Complete the form, add any additional screenshots, and click send. If you provided an email address, you'll receive a confirmation of your request.

Marvin will attempt to automatically take a screenshot, but if you have multiple monitors, a lot of windows open, or sensitive material that you need to censor, you can instead take one manually and add it to your report.
on mac
Use the keyboard shortcuts below to take a screenshot, which will be saved to your desktop.

| capture portion of screen | Press shift+cmd+4, then move the crosshairs to where you want to start the screenshot. Next, click (and hold) the mouse/trackpad while dragging it over the area to capture, and then release the button. |

Tip: macOS defaults to creating PNG images for screenshots, which are unnecessarily large files. You can change this using the Terminal command below.
- Open Terminal
- Type:
defaults write com.apple.screencapture type jpg - Click Enter
Now, your screenshots will be smaller JPG files.
on windows
Use the keyboard shortcuts below to take a screenshot, which will be copied to your clipboard. You may need to open an image editing tool (such as Microsoft Paint) to paste the image and save it as a file.
