Find multiple shots or clips in a sequence based on a list. You can use multi-find to confirm that the correct versions are cut in before dropping them in to the DI/online or to quickly find shots or versions that you want to mark for a review.
parameters
search field | Return-delimited list of shot ids or clip names to find |
to multi-find
- Click the actions button
- Click multi-find
- Fill out the form (see parameters above)
- Click find
- If matching data is detected, MATCH FOUND will appear next to the shot id. Otherwise, MISSING will be displayed.
All shots or clips from the pasted list will be reported as either a match or not as compared to the imported data.
notes
- To search for a list of shot ids (e.g., "doom_101_016_010"), the ignore markers setting in your user preferences should be UNCHECKED.
- To search for a list of clips or cut in versions (e.g., "doom_101_016_010_comp_vfx_v003"), the ignore markers setting in your user preferences should be CHECKED.
- Multi-find performs an exact match search on the data, so if your clip names include ".mov", then the pasted list of clips must also contain ".mov" at the end of each.
actions
- The clipboard button copies the list of missing shots or clip names to your computer's clipboard so that you can paste them into an email or other document.
exports
- Export the list of both missing and matched shots or clips as a CSV spreadsheet file.
- Export the matched list as subcaps.
