Claris maintains its own set of system requirements and technical specifications for each version of FileMaker, which can be found on their website. Doom Solutions tests and qualifies a subset of specific hardware and software configurations to ensure optimal compatibility with our apps. While systems that meet FileMaker's minimum requirements may operate without problems, please understand that we can only provide support for qualified systems.
We recommend that you disable automatic updates of your OS and FileMaker software to avoid unexpected conflicts. We are constantly assessing the features and stability of different versions and will update future compatibility requirements here.
At this time, Doom Solutions has not tested (i.e., has not qualified and does not support) the following to work with Marvin:
- FileMaker Cloud (will not work)
- FileMaker Server on Linux/CentOS/Ubuntu operating systems (should work without issue)
- FileMaker Go (will not work)
Marvin should either be run locally using FileMaker Pro or hosted from an on-premise FileMaker Server. We are testing other "cloud" servers, but Claris' FileMaker Cloud is specifically not supported.
We recommend FileMaker Pro & Server versions 19.5.4.
