TXT - Avid subcaps

To export a properly formatted TXT file from Avid, you need an Avid DS Capture File.

1. In your sequence, move the position indicator to any SubCap and make sure the video track containing the effect is selected.
2. Open the Effect Editor.
3. In the Caption Files parameter, click the Export Caption Data... box.
4. Navigate to where you want to save the exported file and enter a name.
5. Confirm that Avid DS Caption File (*txt) is selected in the file format dropdown menu.  You will need to change it if you see EBU N19 Caption File (*stl).
6. Click Save.
