ALE - Avid clips

To export a properly formatted ALE file from Avid, you'll need to double-check a few settings.

1. With a bin open, choose the columns of metadata that you want included in your export.
2. In the bin, make sure that nothing is selected (e.g., clips or sequences) and either right-click in an empty space and select Export Bin... or choose File > Output > Export Bin... from the menu.
3. Navigate to where you want to save the exported file and enter a name.
4. Confirm that the exporting setting at the bottom is Avid Log Exchange.
5. Click Save.

• Avid will not merge an imported ALE if it contains certain non-modifiable columns like Duration, so you should hide them from the bin view first.
